Best Prop Firms for Scalpers in 2026

Most "scalping allowed" badges are marketing. The rule that actually decides whether you keep your money is buried three clicks deep in the terms, and it usually has an asterisk.
Plenty of traders lose more evals to rule friction than to bad trades. Not blown drawdown — voided profit. You scalp a clean session, hit the target, and then support quietly flags your 20-second trades as "HFT" and resets the account.
So this isn't a list of firms with the prettiest dashboards. It's the ones whose rulebook doesn't fight the way scalpers actually trade — checked against their current terms, not their homepage.
The short version
If you scalp, you want three things from a firm: no minimum hold time, HFT and algo rules that don't punish fast entries, and the freedom to trade around news. Split, price and payout speed come second — because it doesn't matter how good the payout is if the rule you tripped voids it first.
Futures firms win this by default. Exchange-traded futures have tight, transparent spreads and no dealing desk deciding your 15-second trade was "too fast." If you'd rather stay on MT5, a couple of CFD firms genuinely tolerate scalping — fewer than the ads suggest.
Here's who I'd actually put an eval with:
- E8 Futures — no minimum trading days, news allowed, futures spreads
- DayTraders — 100% split, top-rated, 90% off with our code
- Alpha Futures — 90% split, weekly payouts, strong track record
- GOAT Funded Futures — 100% split, one-day minimum
- FXIFY — the MT5 option if you won't leave MetaTrader
What actually makes a firm good for scalping
Forget the star ratings for a second. Four things decide whether a firm is scalpable, and three of them are rules most traders never read until it's too late.
Minimum hold time
Some CFD firms void or don't count trades held under a set number of seconds, filed under "gaming" or "tick scalping." Futures firms rarely care how long you're in. Check the minimum trading days too — a firm that needs 5+ active days before payout slows down a fast trader who could hit target in two.
HFT and algo rules
This is the clause that voids accounts. "HFT" is defined loosely on purpose, and a manual scalper firing 30 trades an hour can get swept up in it. A firm that lists HFT as allowed or clearly conditional is safer than one that stays vague and decides at payout time.
News trading
If you scalp CPI, NFP or FOMC, a news restriction quietly kills your whole strategy. Some firms allow it, some allow it "conditionally," and some ban it flat. This one rule alone can decide your firm.
Spreads and commissions
Scalping lives and dies on small edges, so cost per trade matters more than for anyone else. A firm advertising "scalping allowed" with an asterisk is like a gym that sells you a membership and then fines you for sweating — read what the asterisk actually costs.

The firms I'd actually scalp with
E8 Futures — the cleanest scalping setup
Zero minimum trading days, news trading allowed, and futures spreads underneath it. For a pure scalper that combination is rare — you can take a fast session, hit target the same day, and not trip a hold-time or news clause. Trust score 94, 4.7 stars. Our code verifier takes 25% off (new users; 10% on recurring). Full breakdown on the E8 Futures page.
DayTraders — highest split, deepest discount
The best-rated firm in our data — trust score 100, 5 stars — paying a 100% split with a two-day minimum. The KFJBEYDB code is a genuine 90% off on Trailing and EOD accounts, which is the steepest scalping discount we track. News rule isn't clearly published, so confirm it if you trade events. DayTraders review.
Alpha Futures — the safe default
The firm most scalpers land on, and for good reason: 90% split, weekly payouts (once the winning-day and consistency conditions are met), trust score 92. News is conditional rather than banned. Code ALPHA40 is 40% off evaluations, valid for three uses. Alpha Futures review.
GOAT Funded Futures — 100% split, one-day minimum
A one-day minimum and a full 100% split make this a fast-payout option for scalpers who hit target quickly. Code VERIFIER40 is 50% off on Sprint and Instant accounts. GOAT Funded Futures.
FXIFY — if you won't leave MT5
Not everyone wants to relearn trading on a futures platform. FXIFY is the most scalper-tolerant of the big MT5/CFD names — HFT listed as conditional, news allowed, 35% off with FXIFY9OC0IW. It's still a CFD firm, so read the fast-trade clause before you commit real size. FXIFY review.
Prop firms that allow forex scalping (MT5)
Set on forex and MetaTrader? You don't have to move to futures — but you do have to pick carefully, because most MT5 firms are vaguer about fast trading than futures firms are. Checked against our own rule data, these are the MetaTrader firms whose HFT and news rules don't fight a scalper:
- FXIFY — HFT conditional, news allowed, and you pick a static or trailing drawdown at checkout (35% off with FXIFY9OC0IW). The one I'd start with for forex scalping.
- Goat Funded Trader — HFT and news both conditional, with static 2-Step accounts if you also want a fixed drawdown (45% off with VERIFIER40).
- BrightFunded — HFT and news both conditional, static 2-Step drawdown.
- Orion Funded and FundedElite — both list HFT and news as conditional; confirm the exact minimum-hold-time clause before you buy.
"Conditional" is the honest word here — none of these publish a bright-line "scalping welcome" policy, so get the HFT and minimum-hold-time rule in writing before you pay and keep the reply. If forex scalping is non-negotiable and you want the least friction, FXIFY is the pick; if you want a static drawdown alongside it, Goat Funded Trader.
The firms that quietly make scalping hard
These aren't scams, and some are genuinely good firms for other styles. But their rulebook fights fast trading, so I'd skip them for a scalping account:
- Top One Trader — restricts HFT-style trading (its futures sibling is fine; the CFD arm isn't)
- For Traders — HFT restricted
- Maven — HFT restricted
- Instant Funding — HFT restricted
- FundingPips — strong firm, 95% split, but news trading is banned — a dealbreaker if you scalp events
None of this shows on the homepage. Read the rulebook BEFORE you pay, not after your account gets voided — and if a rule is written vaguely, treat vague as "no."

Ready to scalp with a firm that won't fight you?
Alpha Futures is the default most scalpers settle on — 90% split, weekly payouts, verified rules. Read our Alpha Futures review or grab 40% off with code ALPHA40.
See Alpha FuturesFutures or CFD for scalping?
For most scalpers it's futures — tighter spreads, no dealing desk, and rules that assume you're an active trader rather than treating speed as suspicious. CFDs win on familiarity if you've spent years on MT5 and don't want to learn a DOM. We broke the whole thing down in CFD vs futures trading.
How I'd choose
- 1Pick futures unless you have a real reason to stay on MT5.
- 2Confirm the minimum hold time and HFT rule in writing before paying.
- 3If you trade news, make the news rule non-negotiable.
- 4Only then compare split, price and payout speed — and use a verified code so you're not overpaying on the eval.
Bottom line
If I had to open one scalping eval today, it'd be E8 Futures for the clean rules or DayTraders for the split and discount, with Alpha Futures as the safe middle. But firms change their terms constantly — verify the hold-time and HFT clauses yourself the week you buy, because the version that voids your payout is the one live on their site, not the one in this post.
Frequently asked questions
What's the best prop firm for scalping?
For most scalpers, a futures firm like E8 Futures or DayTraders — exchange spreads are tight and no dealing desk polices fast trades. On CFD/MT5, FXIFY is the most scalper-tolerant of the big names, but read its fast-trade clause first.
Do prop firms allow scalping?
Some do, some don't, and plenty allow it 'with conditions' that only surface when you try to withdraw. Futures firms are generally the safest. Always confirm minimum hold time and HFT rules in writing before you buy.
Which prop firms allow HFT or fast algo trading?
Very few advertise it clearly. FXIFY and DayTraders list HFT as conditional; others such as Top One Trader, For Traders and Maven restrict it outright. When it's unclear, assume no and ask support.
Is scalping better on futures or CFDs?
Usually futures, for spreads and rule friction. CFDs win on familiarity if you're glued to MT5. See our [CFD vs futures breakdown](/blog/cfd-vs-futures-trading).
Can I trade news while scalping at a prop firm?
It depends entirely on the firm. E8 Futures and FXIFY allow it; FundingPips does not. If you scalp CPI or NFP, this rule alone should decide your firm.
